She's a Brick...

Slow city day and I'm in a pensive mood, so I thought I'd vent my frustration over the Senate's passage of a bill today further chiseling away at a woman's right to an abortion.

Today I was thinking of the women I've known, throughout my young life, that have had to decide whether or not to have an abortion.

Young women in their teens and twenties. Six in total. All went through with it. Life-changing.

Date-rape. Underage highschoolers. Condom broke. One night stand with boss. Pregnant while on birth-defect inducing anti-lupus drugs.
Careless lovers not using contraception. And, in every case, the right decision. Complex world, yet Republicans only see things as black and white.
